Just Around the Bend

Hey everyone! I hope you all had a great Ludum Dare 32! Ludum Dare 33 is the next high-profile jam, so keep an eye out for where that will be hosted. Also keep your ear to the ground for Indie Game Con 2015, which should be happening this October. If you want to help out or have questions about IGC 2015, contact Ted Brown (ted@oreganik.com).

Up Next: Ludum Dare 32

We just finished Global Game Jam 2015 at Fertilab Thinkubator, and what a showing! We had nearly 30 jammers crank out 10 games, all of which were interesting in their own ways. Check them out here!

Thanks to everyone who showed up – it was a blast!

Our next official jam will be for Ludum Dare 32 on April 17th. In the meantime, hone your skills however you can – practice your pixeling, freshen your physics, nuance your narratives, tighten your tunes, and revamp your rules. If you get bored, dive into another jam – there’s always one just around the corner.

Global Game Jam is coming!

Howdy, all!

2015 starts tonight. TONIGHT! And what better way to start the new year than to furiously develop a game for Global Game Jam? GGJ starts January 23rd. If you’ve always wanted to make a game but never gotten around to it, or are looking to test your skills by making something crazy, this is your chance! Resolve to join us at Fertilab Thinkubator in Eugene for this exciting event. You won’t regret it!

Check out details on our event page.

RSSpectacular

For those interested in using the RSS feeds, notice that there are a lot of them:

  1. Those listed in the left-hand navigation bar will show you new posts to the main blog and comments on those posts
  2. The RSS in the Activity section will show all forum posts and updates on the site (excluding the main blog)
  3. Each group has an RSS that will show you updates and forum posts for just that group

Happy RSSing!

Site Under Construction

Hello, all. Evil Ted here.

If you can see this post, it means I’ve made some progress. I’m trying to set up a site for local community interaction as well as showing off our games to the outside world! Just getting started, so we’ll see how long it takes to get something up and running…
